MARINE

HEAVY MACHINERY
With local autoglazing experience here in Hawkes Bay, our team have also gained specialist skills while glazing machinery for two years based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The work there consisted of working on multiple large mine sites specialising in the windscreen replacement of vehicles and machinery, ranging from fleet vehicles, small machinery and drill rigs to Cat 793c dump trucks and Komatsu PC8000. This was all completed under strict OHS policies and procedures that constantly changed and were specific to each company. East Coast glass have set themselves up to work independently from a custom built covered in glazing trailer with the ability to cut and process glass onsite. It also allows us, in most situations, to work in the rain which can get machinery back on the job faster. We find that cutting flat glass onsite opposed to ordering factory or original replacements saves the customer on time and money.
We are also 4wd capable allowing for remote site access if needed.
RETROFIT
Double-glazing is becoming increasingly more popular in New Zealand and is now mandatory in all newly-built New Zealand homes. There are many advantages to double glazing your home but the most common reason customers choose to make the change is for heat retention. Double glazed windows are closed units that are made using two pieces of glass which are separated by an air gap
that is sealed, and acts as a break between the inside and outside pieces of glass.

MIRRORS
A well-placed mirror can provide extra light and make a room feel more spacious. Our mirrors can be custom designed and cut to ensure the perfect addition to your home. Mirror Edges are able to be bevelled, polished or sandblasted to suit your space and preference. When it comes to the installation, we offer different options including screwed- using modern aluminium tracks powder coated as required, direct gluing, or brackets that give the mirror a floating effect. For high steam areas such as bathrooms and ensuite’s we can supply demister pads to be fitted behind the mirror that clear away unwanted steam from the mirrors.
PET DOORS
When it comes to your four legged friends, only the best counts. At East Coast Glass we install transact and petcorp dog and cat doors to keep your fury friend on the move. Not only do these doors come in a range of sizes but are also built solidly and look great once installed. The team have the tools and ability to cut and fit these doors into your pre-existing single glazed glass or we can order and provide toughened glass for that extra strength and safety. If you would prefer your door to be installed into a double glazed window we can have double glazed units manufactured for the pet door of your choice. AUTO GLASS
If it’s a windscreen replacement or chip repair that needs fixing, East Coast Glass and Glazing have you covered to get back on the road as safely and quickly as possible. We are fully mobile with a custom designed and built trailer that gives us the ability to come to you directly to replace or repair your autoglass. Alternatively, we are happy to repair at our workshop if that option is easiest. We know having your vehicle off the road can cost you time and money so we aim to have a quick and smooth turnaround from quote to installation. East Coast Glass is happy to work with all insurance agencies from quoting to invoicing and you as the customer have the ability to name us as your preferred provider for all your auto glazing needs. Alternatively if you are not covered by insurance, East Coast Glass and Glazing are competitive with their pricing to ensure you are looked after.
SHOWERS
Give your bathroom or ensuite a stylish and modern finish with a frameless shower screen to complete your area. Our screens are available in a variety of innovative designs to suit every customer’s taste and needs. Our glass shower screens will give your bathroom and elegant and stylish look and they work well with other glass products, such as splashbacks and custom-made mirrors. We follow strict manufacturing guidelines to ensure quality and to make sure our products meet the New Zealand Standards. Depending on your design, our frameless shower screens can be fixed into place with either clamp or channel fixing.
